FOOD & NUTRITION
An important part of public education is our food and nutrition program. We work with CKC Good Food to provide a healthy breakfast and lunch to all of our students. Our students have many needs and we are considered Community Eligible which means that no one needs to pay for meals. During Distance Learning we provide weekly meal pick up. Students who are at school for small group meetings are offered a snack.
During Distance Learning Career Pathways’ Nutrition Program has bundled breakfast, lunch, and milk available to all students on Mondays. Families can sign up by emailing or calling the office.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
INTERNET AND TECHNOLOGY
FCC guidelines for adequate access for learning require Internet speeds of 25Mbps down / 3Mbps up. Please contact Dr. Joan if you need help getting adequate access. During Distance Learning we provide chromebooks to many students. We want to make sure each student has the Internet and technology to be successful.

- Minnesota has an extensive statewide testing operation. Parents and guardians have several ways in which they can access no-barrier testing for their children outside of school. This includes more than 20 community testing sites, a mail-order at-home test program, and clinics and hospitals across the state. Reminder: tests remain no-cost to the individual but they are asked to provide their insurance information so the state can seek reimbursement from insurance companies.
- New Testing recommendations – MDH now recommends that 12 to 25 year olds should get tested.

- Pandemic-EBT Benefits for Families: Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may be eligible for Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P–EBT) to purchase food for days they are not in the school building. To be considered, households must submit an application for free or reduced-price meals for the 2020-21 school year or be approved for Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Families who received P–EBT benefits last summer are not automatically eligible; eligibility is based on the current school year. Benefits may be retroactive to September 2020, depending on when eligibility for free or reduced-price meals is determined. To ensure you qualify for the most benefits, please submit your application as soon as possible.

In 2020-2021 the Career Pathways Covid Planning Committee determined that we would begin the school year with Distance Learning with Support.
“With Support” means that we set up student meetings with teachers in the building in very small socially distanced groups for learning support. All students benefit from 1:1 tutoring. Since Covid 19 has made face-to-face large groups unsafe, we will meet in small support meetings as needed by appointment only. Some students who have special learning needs may require regularly scheduled meetings. Those are set up with the Advisor, family and support team staff members.
In accordance with Federal law, U.S. Department of Education, and Career Pathways School Board policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or disability.
